Chur, Grisons, June 11, 2026 – At its 157th Annual General Meeting, the Swiss Association for Technical Inspections (SVTI) looked back on a successful fiscal year 2025 and set the strategic course for the future. The focus was on the stable development of the SVTI Group, significant progress in innovation and digitalization, and key initiatives for further development in an increasingly challenging technical safety environment.
SVTI can look back on a successful fiscal year. Demand for regulatory and commissioned services remained high, and all inspection departments fulfilled their tasks to a high standard. The workload of inspectors and experts remained at a very high level, underscoring the organization’s operational strength. The SVTI Group thus remains a reliable partner for its clients and customers and continues to be solidly positioned.
This year’s general meeting was chaired for the first time by the new Chairman of the Board, Christian Plüss, and was entirely dedicated to the future direction of the SVTI Group. A key milestone was the first strategic retreat on “Nordstern 2035”, which marks the starting point for the organization’s long-term development.
The strategic direction centers on consistent customer focus, sustainable growth, and the targeted strengthening of innovative capacity. At the same time, the SVTI Group is increasingly leveraging digital technologies and artificial intelligence to further develop processes and continuously improve the efficiency and quality of its services.
With this clear strategic direction, the SVTI Group is creating the conditions necessary to successfully meet future requirements in the field of Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) and to sustainably develop its market position.
In addition to strategic development, important infrastructure projects were also implemented during the reporting year. The relocation of the Swiss Safety Center’s cylinder testing operations to Spreitenbach allowed for process optimization and the targeted advancement of site development.
The space vacated at the main site will be used as an innovation hub in the future. In doing so, the SVTI Group is creating a modern environment that fosters exchange and provides space for the development of new ideas, technologies, and services.
Another highlight of the association meeting was the presentation by Dr. Renato Fasciati, Director of the Rhaetian Railway. Under the title “Rhaetian Railway – Challenges, Innovative Solutions, and a World Record,” he demonstrated how ambitious goals can be successfully achieved through innovative strength, clear strategies, and strong teams.
The event was rounded off with a tour of the RhB workshops in Landquart. Participants gained fascinating insights into the complex processes and high demands involved in the operation and maintenance of modern railway infrastructure.
